Jason has 20+ years in strength and most other aspects of fitness. His sporting background stems from powerlifting where he’s held state, national and world records for his division and is 9th all time in his weight class. However, he is passionate about sports in general, working with beginner to elite-level athletes of all sporting backgrounds. He has ran multiple half marathons and 1 full marathon (at 258 pounds - the biggest guy there lol). He has also done CrossFit and competed in the CrossFit open.
Training at GrindMode will be a mix of functional fitness and power build style of training, allowing the body to move more explosively, stay healthy and get stronger all at the same time.
Jason also offers nutritional counseling to athletes, where they are able to build strength and lose weight at the same time. There’s often a misconception that in order to get stronger you have to gain weight and be bigger. Your athletes will be the strongest on the field while maintaining a natural physique suited for their sport.
